Our Story
Alyon Athletics started with the artwork.
Most basketball brands pick a silhouette and put a logo on it. We start with Ojibwe floral design — the patterns our families have been making for generations — and then figure out how to build something you can actually hoop in. The design isn't decoration on the product. It's the reason the product exists.
We're not a warehouse
Alyon is Native-owned and family-run out of Washington state. When you order, the person packing your shorts is the person who designed them. When you email us, you're emailing an actual person, usually within a day.
You've probably seen us at a gym
We run basketball tournaments — my dad and I put them on together, and we've been doing it for years. That's where most people meet the brand for the first time: at a table on the side of the court, between games.
It also keeps us honest. We're not designing for a trend report. We're designing for the people standing in front of us every weekend, who will tell us straight if something doesn't look right or fit right.
What we care about
- The design comes first. Every pattern means something. We won't run a print just because it sells.
- Made to play in. Breathable mesh, real stretch, built for a full day of games — not just for photos.
- Take care of people. 30-day returns, and your first size exchange is free. If we get something wrong, we fix it.
Come find us
If you're at one of our tournaments this season, stop by the table. If you're not, everything we make is right here.
